Naaigal Jakirathai - Review
Naaigal Jaakirathai directed by Shakthi Sounder Rajan is a comeback effort for young Sibiraj. It is a crime-investigative-thriller revolving around a cop-dog duo.
Karthik (Sibiraj) is a cop on a sabbatical. The annoying dog from the neighborhood becomes his close pet. Just like love affairs in most films, the chemistry between them starts with some friction and develops well as the days go by. Thick bondage is created between the two.
The cop in sabbatical gets into action in his pursuit to encounter a crime with the help of the dog. The movie moves like an express in the hunt by this pair. Watch the movie to feel the thrill.
Script review:
The film starts with a lot of promise but loses some of its steam in the midway thanks to some dragging in the screenplay. Lot of screen space is wasted to introduce the characters and the real story picks up quite late. The investigation part, the chasing and the climax are commendable.
The movie works despite some hitches is mainly because of a simple storyline and focused screenplay (after a point though). The movie would have been a real gem had the director reduced the number of characters and some dull moments that include the humor sequences.
